This position is within Career and Technical Education (CTE), specifically Practical Nursing under the Health Science career cluster. The instructor provides high-quality classroom instruction and clinical supervision aligned to CSPN student learning outcomes, including professionalism, communication, the nursing process, critical thinking, caring behaviors, and management of care.

 

Instruction occurs in classroom and laboratory settings, in approved clinical facilities through High-Quality Work-Based Learning (HQWBL), and may include virtual or hybrid delivery when appropriate.

 

The Practical Nursing program integrates academic and technical content with real-world clinical experiences. The instructor ensures all instruction and clinical supervision comply with the regulations of the Virginia Board of Nursing (VBON), standards of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) competencies for Practical Nursing (14052).

 

The instructor designs and delivers rigorous, relevant instruction that prepares students for licensure and supports college, career, and workforce readiness.
