General Responsibilities

 

This position is responsible for ongoing, first-level, school-based technical support in the form of installation, maintenance, and repair of the school division’s computers, servers, networking devices, software, and all other technology-related equipment. Network Engineers will be responsible for complying with Department of Technology (DOT) standards and directives for the work to be accomplished at their respective building.

 

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

 

Requires an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s preferred in Computer Science or a related field, and broad computer and network support experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry-relevant certifications required (i.e. Network+, A+, etc.) Must possess a working knowledge of Windows OS: Apple iOS; G ZEN; Ethernet (IO Base T) switched networks, TCIP/IP address, and routing. Advanced troubleshooting and configuration knowledge of microcomputers in a networked environment are required.  Requires two (2) years of customer service and/or K-12/IT department experience.
