General Responsibilities

 

Performs entry level, general clerical work in a school library/media center.  An employee in this class is responsible for assisting the Librarian in the daily operation of the library.  The work involves materials circulation, typing, collecting fees, preparing bulletin boards, filing, maintaining records, repairing materials and assisting library users.  The work also involves assisting in the use of media equipment and materials.

 

Education and Experience

 

Requires a high school diploma, some college level course work and at least two (2) years of customer service experience supplemented by considerable progressively experience in library filing systems.  Requires a valid driver’s license.
