Full-Time and Permanent; 7.33 Hours/Day; 210 Days/Year; 10.5 Months/Year

 

DEFINITION:

This is a teaching position that is performed within the classroom and computer lab environment. The teacher would be responsible for implementing a sound instructional program that focuses on programming, desktop systems, basic server systems, network design, implementation and management. The teacher would also implement an instructional program with a focus on computer programming concepts, procedures, and fundamentals; interactive multimedia applications; and web technology.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

LICENSE:

Eligible for or in possession of, appropriate Virginia Teaching Certificate.

 

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Potential above-average amount of walking, bending, standing, stooping and lifting in a laboratory-classroom.

 

HAZARDS:

Work involves exposure to potentially hazardous situations if safety procedures are unknown or unpracticed.

 

UNUSUAL DEMANDS:

Work is performed in laboratory-classroom, requiring unusual amount of physical skills, coordination, and dexterity.
