The high school summer school program is designed for students who need to recover credit for failed course(s) and for students who desire to take a course for initial credit.
Examples of Duties
The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks:
Develops lesson plans that include appropriate learning activities and instructional aids.
Demonstrates concepts and skills by use of models, instructional aids, and technology.
Provides individual and/or small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
Assesses each student’s progress and communicates with all stakeholders as appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching
Ability to interact effectively with students, staff, administrators, parents, and community.
Hazards/Unusual Demands
Work involves exposure to normal everyday hazards encountered in a school.
Work is performed in a classroom and involves no unusual demands.
